Plain-Language Summary
This summary is a courtesy and is not legally binding.
- We follow Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) for any commercial emails we send.
- Every commercial email identifies us, gives a way to contact us, and has an easy unsubscribe that we honour promptly.
- Service emails are different. Account, billing, and security notices keep your account working and aren't marketing.
1. Scope
This policy explains how PickleDash handles its own email communications, in line with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Our Commercial Emails (CASL)
When we send commercial electronic messages (such as newsletters or product updates), we comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). That means:
- Consent. We send commercial messages only where we have consent. Consent is express when you sign up for our newsletter, create an account, or otherwise opt in. We may rely on implied consent where the law allows, such as an existing business relationship.
- Sender identity. Each message clearly identifies PickleDash and includes a way to contact us (an email address and our website).
- Easy unsubscribe. Each commercial message includes a clear, working unsubscribe link. We honour unsubscribe requests promptly and at the latest within the time the law requires.
We do not buy or rent email lists, and we do not send commercial email to addresses obtained through deceptive means.
3. Service (Transactional) Emails
Some emails are necessary to operate your account — for example, account confirmations, billing notices, and security alerts. These are not marketing messages and are sent as part of providing the Service. We keep them focused on their purpose and do not fill them with promotional content.
4. Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from our commercial emails at any time using the link in any such email, or by emailing info@pickledash.com with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. Withdrawing consent to marketing won't stop the service emails needed to run your account.
5. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or our practices; material changes follow the process in our Terms of Service. The current version is always at pickledash.com/legal/email-compliance.
